
MEET Emily
Described as “seductive and darling” (Music City Review) contralto Emily Triebold’s 2021-2022 season included performances with Nashville Opera as Giovanna (Rigoletto) and Opera Saratoga as Martha (cover; Sky on Swings). Recently, she appeared with Pensacola Opera as a Principal Artist and an Artist-in-Residence (Buttercup - H.M.S. Pinafore; Ines (COVID-19 cancellation) - Il trovatore; Zerlina (cover) - Don Giovanni; Hannah After (cover) - As One). She will be returning in the fall of 2022 as a featured soloist for their Forty Forward Concert.
Emily was due to appear with Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice Artist and Second Wood-Sprite (cover; Rusalka), but the season was canceled due to COVID-19. She also spent three summers as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera (Julia Child (cover; Bon Appétit); Baroness (Candide); Mrs. Splinters (The Tender Land); Minskwoman (cover; Flight)).
She has been seen on the concert stage in Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with the New York City Ballet and Z. Randall Stroope’s American Rhapsody at Carnegie Hall. She was a MONC - Wisconsin District winner in 2018 and was a National Semi-finalist at the NATS Artist Awards in 2016.
Emily is a proud Wisconsinite and enjoys time spent in the beautiful North Woods and tending her gardens with husband, Adam. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and graduated summa cum laude with her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
